I don't think I've ever paid attention to how close this episode and the 70s one would be but true, grams definetely did change quickly 😅 I really love Chris and Leo's relationship, they are great in this episode. It's fun to see how much their dynamic has changed since the beginning of the season. It's also interesting to me becuase the first time I saw the show my attitude towards Chris was changing similarly to Leo's - I was really distrustful of him at first and strongly disliked him but he started to grow on me around the same time Leo started to trust him more.

This was a fun episode, even if the timey-whimy is a bit off. I mean, with a hippie Grams, Wyatt wouldn't even exist, right? But I guess we're supposed to think the ripples were slow. So much time travel in general this season, haha.

This episode is often held to have a huge continuity error in it, as people see how young Young Grams looks and think that she can't have been that young only 3 years before Prue was born. Often people also hear the line about Patty being dropped off and assume that means she's a child, which would be a continuity error for the same reason. However, Kara Zediker was 34 when she played the part of Young Grams (she looks quite a bit younger), and it's conceivable that a 34 year old could be playing Grams here at 40, with a 20-year-old offscreen Patty. So it's not really a continuity error (it doesn't help that Jennifer Rhodes aged 51 played Grams in 1975 in episode 1x17, but seems older due to playing a character who's a grandmother, so the gap from Grams here to Grams 8 years later seems wider). That being said, I've heard the original plan was to have Young Patty as the main witch in this episode, and that when they couldn't get Finola Hughes, they changed it to Young Grams while making as few adjustments to the storyline as possible. So they got lucky that they didn't create a continuity error automatically.
