Ooooo no! That was legit? Jeeeeeez.... And yeah, for me. as I mentioned, I think it's one of those questions that doesn't have a definitive answer. Whether she dropped it on purpose or not, it is always up for debate

And the other older women playing the game during the credits were original league members. Even the cast is divided on whether Dottie purposely let go of the ball or not. Geena Davis says she's the only one who knows, but that she'll never say. When I first saw the movie, I was sure she did it on purpose. But I'm not so sure now. Dottie did take that tumble into the dugout, to make a catch, right before Kit batted. So her arm was banged up. I think a case could be made either way. But, yeah, she wasn't unhappy about it. She was happy Kit could finally shine... it was all Kit needed. Oh, and that massive bruise we saw on that one player's upper thigh... was 100% real. The actresses were really out there sliding into bases in those outfits. They decided to include it in the movie, after it happened. I read that it took almost a year to fully heal.

Also an inspiring piece of often overlooked American history. "If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it great."
