I really enjoy your reactions, but I have to say it's super distracting when you keep typing and looking away and doing other things during the episode. I'm honestly not trying to sound like a jerk..I know you're probably busy and may not realize how often it happened. I think maybe it just stood out since it was such an emotional episode, Anyway...sending you hugs since this was for sure a tough one.

It's a beautiful episode for Bobby's death. A well done send-off.
They needed to take away the things that the guys reliy on like Cas, Baby, Bobby, in order for them to grow and become the men/heroes they are meant to be. It's good narratively, even as it hurts so much. Too much Bobby, too much Cas is too much ex machina.
Unlike the Leviathan storyline, the storyline of Bobby's death and how it affects Sam & Dean is sprinkled throughout the season. I'm eesp worried about Dean and what Bobby's death means to his emotional state.
I'm sorry, Liam. This was almost as hard as Det Dan's death. Go hug Milo and Lara. You deserve it.

I don't think it was 180 years. He was only soulless for like 3 months, so that would be 130. Still a long time. And unlike Dean, he didn't torture anyone else; didn't have the option to stop being tortured.
ETA: Not to say Dean torturing others isn't torture in itself. Just more psychological, spiritual, and self-damning.

Sam was not praying, or not only praying, when he grabbed his hand. He was pressing his palm, testing if Bobby dying was real or part of his hallucinations ( like Dean taught him to do with Lucifer hallucination). Sam doing that and Dean punching the glass both really get me. Dean is more demonstrably upset, while Sam just keeps things more locked up, but Sam is also literally dealing with 180 years of hell torture right now, so think he’s having a rough time, too. I feel equally terrible for both boys because they have both experienced too much pain. And I hate loosing Bobby, but it’s a great episode.
I don’t think that Bobby's death is harder on the boys than John's. The audience may not love John, but the boys did. And his death affected them fir year, and still does.

That feeling when you’ve been waiting for something and dreading it at the same time lol. Time to rewatch 7x10 now…
