As you go through the series, you’ll find lots of episodes where the monster is almost inconsequential, and the “real” story of the episode is all about the brothers and showcasing their relationship.

2022-04-20 04:37:11 +0000 UTCThis is one of the first ever episodes that is written with a lot of comedy. Fun fact - Jensen and especially Jared are constant pranksters on set. Jared is insistent on making his co-stars laugh mid take. I would definitely recommend watching the gag reel at the end of each season - they're between about 7-12 minutes long and it gives a sense of the set and what it's like to work on it.
