Sweet desperation plays havoc on our souls. But then would we have it any other way? Hurt/comfort is everything we crave in a same-sex relationship. Sometimes I just think... how in the bloody hell did we get this in the 90′s?

2022-06-29 05:44:46 +0000 UTCThe show did a great job making "India" visually different from the usual settings. This includes the music too. I did notice they used yet another version of the same melody for the scenes where Xena is talking to Eli in the Indian temple, previously heard in a choral version in Crusader and instrumental version in Paradise Found. Guess that is the musical score for this season's spiritual quests storyline. Speaking of which, this is the third time now a seemingly good spiritual way has turned out to be a sham. In a way, I am glad Gabrielle is getting all this experiences even if they turned out to be bad. It feels like this is an itch her character needs to scratch and see that the other options out there aren't all they are made out to be; and she can grow more confident in her current path in life.

I love when this series explores different cultures, and strays away from the ancient Greek culture we were immersed in for so long. Also, Timothy Omundson (Eli) - fantastic actor! Big name actor who you may recognise for a few things. This is in his early days, but he was also in the Lucifer episode 'God Johnson' playing Earl Johnson in 2 x 16.
