But we know from the previous victims of that spirit (as well as what Dean says about his experiments in that journal he found) that he essentially massively amplified people's anger. But I agree with you as well that Sam definitely was voicing his true complaints while he was possessed, and while it would have been better for him to voice those complaints when he was in full control of himself, at least they are out in the open now, even if he tries to deny meaning them.

2022-01-29 19:08:22 +0000 UTCFor me this isn't a favourite episode. But it does have some good moments between Sam and Dean. - keep an eye out for the building used as the Asylum in future. It's a very re-used location in Vancouver. I'm hoping to actually visit it next year when I go to Vancouver (mostly to go on a Supernatural location site seeing tour).
