2023-11-10 21:13:15 +0000 UTCSay "Glaphyra" 3 times, quick! XD Well, that's 2 more characters in the wild now that can recur some time in the future. Darnelle and Glaphyra could almost be their own series leads, they are both very flawed and have a lot to learn though they are charming characters. Darnelle was played by Charles Mesure by the way, who we already saw on Xena as a different character in The Price. I liked how they took this stand-alone story episode and drew some links to grander themes such as exploring Xena's influence on others and pondering on how much Gabrielle has or would be changed by her relationship with Xena. Speaking of which, Gabrielle kicked butt in this episode. Even when most of the "4 seasoned warriors and killers" struggled and needed help, Gabrielle was mowing down several of those special armour warriors at once and didn't need help even once.
