You're right about how insensitive "Stab" is. The events of Scream only took place a few years ago, and we know Casey's parents were still alive and devastated by her murder. Imagine them having to see their dead daughter sexualised through a shower scene then watch a stylised reenactment of her murder. That was kind of the point I guess, all the Scream movies have been about how exploitative fame or the media can be.
Thanks for giving your authentic reaction. Your reaction to Sarah Michelle Gellar alone makes us know you truly went in unspoiled. As viewers, we've probably seen the same movies or TV shows reacted to over 5 times on top of the original airing, but each reaction is still different due to the reactor's personal experiences and perspectives. For example, you are the only reactor who picked up that Debbie killed Randy for insulting her son before she even mentioned it (watching the movie back, I do see for the first time the many breadcrumbs they left building up to Billy's mother being involved such as the seemingly irrelevant school hallway scene from Stab where "Billy" and "Sidney" talk about their mothers), as well as the only one who called Gale out for the valid criticism of how dehumanising her ambition was to others. You are also the only reactor to back Sidney's decision to return to the cop car to unmask the killer instead of running. XD
Got to give Sidney props too. By far the most competent and developed 'final girl' in all of Slasher history. Do consider watching Scream 3 and 4 as well; and perhaps even 5 shortly after it is released in Jan 2022 when hype around it is still high.
