I've finally had time to watch these and great reactions Liam. I'll always love these films above all others. There is just something magical about how they make me feel every time. Waiting each December for the next one to arrive was torture, but it made those Christmas times special. It's way I tend to rewatch them every Christmas. I do love that having someone like Peter Jackson in charge meant there wasn't a Hollywood heroic end for Frodo and the ring. He's a hero for all he endured, but the fact at the end he doesn't want to destroy it, as it's finally taken full hold of him is great. Were it not for Gollum, he'd have walked away with it. I'm glad they didn't change that for the films. It's impossible to pick a favourite character. I love all of them in different ways! If you ever get chance to see them on a big screen, do it. I think people now forget that this was pre-Game of Thrones etc. so those battles and landscapes were jaw dropping on first release. Also, not for reactions, but if you ever have time to watch the DVD Appendices they remain the best behind the scenes of any film. The insights you get in to that filming experience are so fascinating. I look forward to your Hobbit ones!
