Fantastic reaction. I've been waiting for this one since season 3. I was so afraid you'd figure it out before now. So glad you didn't! Now you wanna have some fun? Go back and watch Amends in season 3, where The First is introduced. Then watch the end of episode one of season 7. Both times paying particular attention to the way The First changes into everyone. Then watch it change here. It becomes so obvious when you rewatch, that you kick yourself for not getting it, but the show did such a good job of misdirects and distracting us, and putting so much time between the intro to The First and this one that we don't see it the first time. It's brilliantly done.

2021-07-04 17:33:57 +0000 UTCLol at Liam barely being able to contain his amusement at the Watchers Council blowing up. They were "good guys" so it is more bad than good that they're dead now. But I agree that they would not have been much help. As evidenced by the fact that they were still keeping things from Buffy and would have tried to control her to do things their way yet again had they gotten involved. Also didn't get what The First was going for in getting Andrew to kill Jonathan then try and kill the pig to open the seal. The Bringers would easily have done a quicker and better job capturing and bleeding a few civilians to open it.
