Tbh I wanted to comment “irony” when she was making fat comments since it was a force of habit that Monica was fat in Friends and that was her past she evolved from which I was always happy about though she was someone who was amazing ❤️

2021-09-26 07:16:36 +0000 UTCI'm glad you didn't notice Gale's first two appearances as a random reporter in the background then on TV. It's more fitting to her character that your first impression of her was "move you fat, tub of lard ass, NOW!" XD I think Courteney Cox and David Arquette did indeed meet on the set on this movie. It certainly helped that they shared a romantic storyline and had many scenes together. The script of this movie pulled a lot from horror cinema academia. A large part of Sidney's journey is in surviving despite giving up her virginity, thereby rejecting the slut label put on her mother and subtextually used to justify killing off women in horror media. Loved her quote about the "big-breasted girl who can't act who is always running up the stairs when she should be going out the front door". The Scream series and Buffy share a lot of the same meta-ness, and I'd like to think that the Buffy creators had that exact archetype in mind when they created who Buffy's character appeared to be on the surface. Speaking of which... do consider reacting to Scream 2 and beyond if you enjoyed this one. There might be a familiar face or two from the other shows you watch in the sequels.

Drew Barrymore (Casey) was actually promoted to be the star of the movie in the posters and pre release material so it was a major shock when she got killed. Also Rose McGowan (Tatum) found out she could fit through that doggy door and kept slipped out of it so in the scene they had to staple her shirt to the door
