Quentin Tarantino is a known Xena fan and frequent collaborator with Zoë Bell, the stunt double for Xena. Though it has some roots in Hong Kong cinema, I'd like to think that the light-hearted 'whoosh' effects he uses in Kill Bill, even during serious action scenes, are in part inspired by that definitive aspect of Xena the series.

While we know Bill is the father of her baby at the chapel he calls her "kiddo" so we actually know her name this whole movie but we don't, we assume he's taken advantage of her as a father figure calling her kiddo......directors own inside joke
