A whole year has passed since the first release of OBD. Strange... It's been a long year, although it seemed to me that time flies very quickly. During this year I managed to do a lot that I canโt even believe that I worked alone ;)
I already wrote about how the development began in this post, so I won't touch on this topic. Instead, I'm going to tell you about how this year went and what to expect in the future.
Past
Looking back, the first thing that comes to mind is the experience I got. Before the release of 0.1.0, I was doing offline development for two years and was constantly looking for something new, reworking the old. However, after the release, I was faced with such a thing as reporting and the need to keep myself within limits. I used to be able to afford to spend a whole month or two on code, and then a month or two learning Photoshop, AE or some other software, but now this has become unacceptable. At first it was hard to switch to a new way, even now itโs hard not to be distracted from constantly creating content, but the experience gained over this year has shown that I still have things to work on.
Future
Speaking about the future, I would like to say that the picture of the OBD world in my head is much larger than what is ready now in the game. It takes time to implement all the ideas, and in conditions of active development, the time is limited. But I don't want to cut back on my ideas, so the next year I want to dedicate to speeding up my pose work and maybe even find a way to get an inexpensive Mocap suit ;)
Crap! I thought this post would be much bigger. But everything that I usually enthusiastically talk about I've already talked in previous development reports. Anyway, I have more to tell about in the future reports. But for now...
Happy Birthday, keyclap and OBD! ๐
