Report #7 💃

This report is gonna be good. I've made a lot of changes to the game, but I'll only write about the biggest ones. Heheee.

OBD $ Discord. Oh sh*t! Whaaa?

I didn't know it was possible until I did it. I have integrated Discord into the game so that your current status will be visible to other users. Of course, you'll be able to turn it off or specify which part will be hidden or visible 😎

Notifications manager. Just like it shuld hadgdg ahghlf...

New notifications manager which will make your hard life much easier! I should have added this a long time ago, but I didn't have the experience to do it like I do now. Click on them to quickly open a messenger, notes, pages etc.

3D Audio. Or audio sources. Or speakers.

It means that you'll hear volume change and muting effect depending on the distance from an audio source. It's cool! It's really cool because... because... oh sure, nobody plays such games with audio on. But anyway, it now exists. Just live with this info.

Animations. My new favorite part and pain in the arss for the next few months.

Animation... Where's the animation file?!! Oh. It's on the post preview.

Some people blame me for being too involved into scripting but... the GIF animation  for this post was made only thanks to my programming skills. I wrote lots of scripts to make it possible to freely do animations. I also found a good addon for breasts jiggle that didn't work. I was always scared of such errors, but good thing that the addon was written in python because I fixed it and added some features. I'm so proud of myself 😭😭😭

Gonna test myself on how many animations I can add to the next release, but I'm limited by the technology of my ti-... I mean I'm limited by my 1080ti that takes time to render and it's cool! I can go outside, touch the grass, get married, have children......... Oh, the render is done.

AI Frames Interpolation. Touching the grass? Nah! Touching new technologies! 

This animation was interpolated using only 3 frames.
What the hell does it mean? It means that I'll be able to add such small animations to the game without spending hours on rendering 30fps!

But still there're a lot of other issues that I'll have to work with. Like animation precaching. Ren'Py doesn't have it! Argh!!! And again I had to do something with it. Cool thing I found a workaround for this and reduced the animation loading delay from 150ms to stable 40ms so I hope you won't notice freezes when entering scenes that have animations.

One more thing that I hope Pytom will managed to fix in the engine is this pixelation on WebMs. Seems like ffmpeg that's embedded into Ren'Py doesn't filter out move files and it results into 2x2 pixels. Not that super noticeable but I don't like how this looks 😢

Mariya's Voice. Mariya's what??

She's got her own voice and you'll hear her singing in the game! Not that I have a good microphone, but I'll try to record her as good as possible 😊
