Remember when this kind of shit was all we had to worry about? Man, good times.
These comics generated a lot of comments back in the day, which I guess was good, but it wasn't really the kind of community I wanted to cultivate, and that's one of the main reasons this story ended when it did.
I'm certainly not going to shy away from having political themes in my work in the future, but this helped me realize that I didn't want to be a pundit with a pencil. There are some excellent cartoonists already doing that work.
We've got about 10 more of these, and thankfully they don't get too bogged down in the minutiae of 2000s-era American government policy.
