Absolutely no surprise that NMIXX are the first group to do an episode with every member here, what a talented group. I didn't vibe with the new album as much as everyone else seems to, but I think Blue Valentine is a great song. Happy to see all the success they're having with it. Also I didn't expect the Drivers Licence appreciation at the end there, but that was a nice surprise π A lot of Olivia's music is very pop-punk/emo inspired, and it's cool that you spotted those inspirations so quickly. She was the best concert I went to last year, just an excellent artist. And yes, Lily did such an amazing job with the song. I can't remember if you've seen the special 100th Leemujun Service episode (the one with Lily and Minnie singing together?), but you've definitely gotta get on that if not. It's a great episode.

2025-10-25 16:56:35 +0000 UTCThe first NMIXX episode was Lily in September 2022. Haewon on variety: She is such a good actress and she always fully commits. If I was there, I'd lean into the weirdness and just assume everything she does is unserious unless she signals otherwise. Gotta get on that wavelength. A while ago, there was some commotion around a comment from her, apparently she does not sleep and lives off of coffee. That made a lot of people really worried, but it would explain some of her mannerisms honestly. They did an unboxing on the countdown live and the vinyl versions look great. I got "just" the three standard versions, I don't actually use the physical media included. You might need to be patient, my experience with small shops is that it takes noticeably longer to arrive. Blue Valentine was certainly a great strategic choice for a title track. The chorus is enjoyable to pretty much everyone, while there are still plenty of switchups, but those make that chorus hit harder. It's already outperforming the previous comebacks: The MV sits at 30 million after a week - Know About Me, See That and DASH sit at 35, 32 and 41 million, respectively. There's a lot to discover in this if you focus on a particular member. Jiwoo in her own world, Haewon making all kinds of weird faces of appreciation, Sullyoon fangirling over her members. It's entertaining in every way. I'm not sure why, but Haweon's and Lily's covers broke me, I had a lot of overwhelming emotions.. I was fine on second watch. I love that music can do this to me though, it's carthatic. Haewon's dynamic range is incredible for dramatic music. I hope to hear her voice on many things for many years to come. Close and intimate performances are the best, but it's impossible to get into those. I think the Red Velvet video you mentioned is the "ReVe Festival FINALE" mini-concert/fanmeeting with only a couple handful of Reveluvs. Bae's performance is a great changeup (huehue) between the other two. It highlights her unique strengths a lot and I am just thinking how everyone in NMIXX sounds like nobody else in K-Pop. Such recognizable and versatile voices.. Random note: Jiwooooo π₯° At this point I'm getting really nervous if K-pop companies still understand the word "world" in world tour. I can only hope.
