WORKDOL - Air Busan Episodes (Shuhua, Haewon, Tsuki)

Who makes the best flight attendant? I had no idea Tsuki's tenure as host was going to be so short! Not sure who I would want next as a long-term host. The Papa John's episode may have sold me on Jiyu.

If an airline doesn't have maintenance facilities in a destination they'll have an engineer go with them (apparently, I only learned this recently lol) I don't think they typically do much, but its just another safety net. They can requisition local staff and/or parts as needed though.

My Seattle<-->Vancouver trips were on smaller jets so they didn't have the retractable walkways you normally see

Just gonna remind you of the Flight attendant I had on my Vancouver -> Edmonton trip that reminded me of Yoohyeon lol

I swear I've watched like 20hrs of Aviation disaster videos per week for the last couple of months lol My recent obsession has been Mentour Pilot, if you're looking for more (before this it was Green Dot and Pilot Debrief)

1:10:45, im a reverse engineer, my current engineering manager was one of the engineers of that part that failed and caused the crash, those parts are called the “Angle of Attack sensor” They are to check that the plane is flying at the proper angle so it either doesnt stall or nose dive. But in aerospace and aviation sensitive and important parts like those are to be made with redundancies (ie having multiple of the same parts so if one fails the others would kick in). He was saying that the plane had 3 angle of attack sensors but 2 of them were malfunctioning proir to the flight and the pilots still chose to fly with only the one functioning AOA sensor. But that one had an issue when they were landing it was sensing that the plane was angled way too up even thought the plane was flying at an appropriate angle at the time. So it started to autocorrect the “bad” angle and started to point the plane down to the ground and everytime the pilot tried to correct it the faulty AOA sensor kept on kicking in and thats why it crashed

The mechanic episode was filmed around Halloween 2024 and they released the choosing the next host episode around 5 months ago, so I'm not sure why they waited so long to release it. Jiyu would be my pick for next host as well based on her guest episode. As for aviation related shows go, season 2 of The Rehearsal is absolute cinema if you're into the Nathan Fielder style of humor.

I also misheard it as "nam sayin" 🤣
