Happy Friday, my friends!

A couple of weeks ago I shared a drawing of Mystique while mentioning how I've had a solo, other universe Kitty Pryde spy-like story blending around in my head for a few years now. Wanted to tackle at least one of the ten takes I had on this alternate Kitty before X-Tember's end so well... here she is.

I like writing characters who grow and change, including the stuff they wear, so this take would be Kitty near the beginning, when she's just sporting a giant hoodie and phasing into places she probably shouldn't be phasing into. She's kind of a moody teenager at first, although there's layers, and her world rocks out of control when she stumbles upon (and ultimately befriends) a small, dimwitted pinkish purple dragon.

I'm biased of course, because I'm the one making up the story, but I think it'd be a fun one. Unfortunately, there's little chance I'd ever find room to properly pitch it, less of a chance Marvel would pick it up, and even less of a chance they'd offer me an advance large enough to afford the time it would take me to draw it. You never know though! More than likely though, I'll retool the idea into something of my own if it just won't let me go. Or spin it into something I'm already working on. That's one the many fun things about fan art (and fan fiction). The new stuff that shows up from the result of it. For better or worse. Haha.

Speaking of fan art, reminder that the auction for the Rogue watercolor ends tomorrow night! I'll do my very best to send out a proper reminder tomorrow. My weekends have had a way of getting away from me these days though so forgive me if I forget.

And speaking of weekends, hope everyone has a great one! Don't hang out in the shadows too long. Get out there and find some fun and/or dragons.
