Follow Up Info
Added 2023-09-24 15:49:33 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
hope, you are all having a great Day!
This is a follow up Post to my Personal Info Post:
“…So my Plan is to separate Addons or alternative Versions as their own Project Pages. This way it will be much easier to use the App to install & auto update my Mods, and to choose which Addons to install & auto update. My lms-mods.com Website will Link to the Main Project Page of a Mod, and within the Mod Description, i will Link to the Addon Project Pages to find them easier…”
I did rework the first two Mods, which are now in seperate Projects on CurseForge:
Small Laundry Overhaul:
All Mod Parts on CurseForge:
- No Auto Laundry in Hamper
- Put (Laundry) in Inventory
- Put Laundry In Inventory On Community Lots when changing Clothes
- Doing Laundry On Community Lots Costs Money
- No Sparkling Effects on Sims who wear Pristine Clothes
- No Idle Animation
- Better Hamper
- Small Buff Changes
- Auto Put Away Clothes
- Auto Start Dry & Wash Clothes
- Washtub Less Puddles
- Washtub Vampires Are Faster
Higher/Longer Payments/Royalties:
All Mod Parts on CurseForge:
- Apps & Games
- Paintings
- Books
- Songs & Lyrics
- DJ Mix
- Lifestyle Brand
- Music & Video Production
- Payments Only Friday
More will follow step by step.
Regarding optional Addons, i did talk with the CurseForge Devs and they told me a new Feature will be released soon, hopefully. They plan to add Support for additional Files in the App. This might be perfect for my optional Addons. So i will wait and see how this Feature work, before i decide, if i will add my Addons as addtional Files or as seperate Projects.
Thx for reading ;)
Take Care!

Yeah, the App & downloading via the Website are two different Worlds, and it is not easy to make it perfect for both. I do hope their new "Addtional Files" Feature will work good in the App (and for me as the creator), then i won't have to seperate the Addons as well.

2023-09-26 08:18:04 +0000 UTCThanks. Yes, that explains it but I'm not a user of the automated update of Curseforge App (just the online platform where I manually update for those creators who require its use) given that I don't trust the replacement of the updated mods process that it offers (just a personal preference) given how I specifically name my mods for the basis of my mods folder. That's possibly why I didn't understand that decision given the relation to that platform. Some creators don't put their creator names in their file names or the specific versions and the way that I download, I meticulously do that given 100+ mods I have in my game. But thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated.

2023-09-26 02:19:54 +0000 UTCFirst, deleting all old Mods Files before downloading the new ones is always the best way ;) Second, yes on CurseForge some Mods that were one Project/All in One Zip, will be seperated in several Project Pages/Zip Files. There are two reasons basically. 1. The CurseForge App will always install all Files within a Zip, and you would need to manually remove those you don't want. This then will confuse the App, and it wants to update the Mod again. 2. Some Mods have several Parts, like these two in the Post. And these Parts can be used each on their own without the need of the other Parts. Having them on their own Project Page makes that clearer, and easier to choose a Part & install/auto update it via the App. I do plan to make similiar changes to my own Website & my other Download Options (Google Drive) etc, when i am done with the Changes on CurseForge, so it is the same pattern on all my Download Plattforms. I hope, I could make it less confusing with my answer?

2023-09-25 10:09:42 +0000 UTCI'm a bit confused; I just want to ensure that I understand... so they won't come in one folder, and we simply remove what we don't want in the Laundry Overhaul folder, for example, and now download each separately? I deleted the previous laundry overhaul folder that had all these modules within them when I saw this and just downloaded each module - hopefully, I wasn't supposed to just replace these files with just those specific modules.
