Future of "Roommates" Mod #2

Thx for all the Feedback on the last Post.

You're all right. I should let ppl decide if they want to use it or not.

Besides the Error i enjoy the Mod like it is. If you have found any weird stuff or so let me know. Otherwise i will publish it tomorrow with a big fat warning then ^^

The problem I have encountered is when the LE spams - the game basically stops functioning and you get serious bloat. (I have had 35Mb on an LE when usually it is mere kilobytes) I agree that getting those custom mods out helps you to keep your game running smoothly without lags, your sims are not stuck in suspended animation and frustration is kept at a minimum. It also helps to let creators know to update they shizz. Cuz some just don't. Minor hiccups don't bug me though...

I admit i am a noob when it comes to coding or reading those Errors but as a player i have to say that 90% of Errors i get are Game Errors itself. Translation, Hardstop, ChefStation and so on. I use almost non CC and most Mods i use are my own so the chance to get Mod related Errors are pretty small. The worst Problems i ever had where also Game related like after one of the Patches with the messed up Relationships. I make Backups of my Saves regulary so the worst that could happen is that some Ingame Days/Weeks are lost. As a Modder i don't like it at all if one of my Mods is the cause of an LE. In this case the LE is so random that it was/is not possible for me to trigger it down. I do think it was because of proximity Buffs i used on Roommates. Since i deleted those and turned them into "normal" Buffs i did not get any SoftSleep LEs after. But i also cannot give 100% guarantee that this was indeed the problem and that they are 100% gone. So i will give a Warning in the Description. Users then can decide if they want to use it or not.

If you know so much then you wouldn't be making such an issue over LE's period. And ignoring LEs and not updating mods are not the same thing. If a mod is causing actual issues then yes it needs to be updated. It the mod is simply sending out an LE, but continues to work then no, it is not an issue that has to be fixed. It is not going to do anything more than create an LE file. And yes I too have to work with different platforms, Windows, Linux Mint, MacOS, and occasionally Chrome OS. And again if all that a mod is doing is sending out an LE, it is not some emergency that has to be dealt with. This topic came up because of this particular mod that Miss Sam is doing. I for one will be using it, and I was providing information to others that also want to use it. If you must have a "perfect" game (whatever) fine. But you don't need to come and spread FUD over something you really don't know or understand.
