Bloody love some Batsugun - one of the best STGs ever made. The Special version did get a an official home release back in the 90s, though - it's on the Saturn port. Like a lot of the best 2D Saturn games, it's Japan-only. Always felt that Wardner and Ghox are a bit underrated. Wardner also has a Mega Drive port that never got a European release (best played with the romhack that improves the colour palette).
