Fun fact: General Grumman is Lieutenant Hawkeye's maternal grandfather. They never outright say it in the manga or shows. It was revealed in a companion piece that gave more background info

The humonculi and Father orchestrated the entire thing, you'll find out why soon enough. This is just the history of the war from an outside perspective of those who don't know what father and his cronies were doing behind the scenes. I keep saying this but episode 30 is one of my favorites with regards to character history and some of the philosophy brought up in this show, so many great quotes. Even though Kimblee is an absolute madlad, his quote about not forgetting the people you killed is spot on. Kimbleee was given the philosopher's stone made by killing Ishvallans, and Kimblee was the one who killed Scar's family. Scar's brother (the alchemist studying western alchemy and easetern alchahestry) survived the explosion and gave Scar (his brother) his arm so he would survive but Scar's brother died as a result. I just realized this now but the scene with marco is Scar's own version of Winry learning who killed her parents, how the turntables have turned. The scene with Hawkeye being "recruited" by Mustang happened right after the war several years before the current story events. "where did they adopt Selim from" oh Tom, you still have no idea what you're in for. calling this your new attack on titan is a perfect comparison :P Hard to believe it's already halfway through the show! It's only going to ramp up from here, you really should have a Q&A live stream some time to clear up your questions haha.

It was funny when Ed needed to borrow it and funny when Mustang demands it back the way he does. They both are plenty well off. I love the friendship they have
