When it comes to getting Dexter therapy as a kid…consider the era. That would have been the late 1970s and 1980s. The Reagan era ruined mental health help, especially in Florida. Harry was a cop, and couldn’t afford long-term therapy for him. He would have been referred to state psychiatric care like his brother was and institutionalized. Reagan closed those places down. I think that’s how Brian ended up out.

If the I.A. has suspicions about an officer, they need to go through the chain of command, not harass an officer in another department to manipulate her to go "undercover" on their behalf and spy on a colleague. At the very least, I should think that Angel needs to be informed that I.A. is approaching Debra and investigating Quinn, as the direct supervisor of both Quinn and Debra. Officer Morgan is in the middle of a homicide investigation, and "NO" is a complete sentence. Now it's just harassment, and potentially interference with an active investigation, or distraction at the very least. This situation with I.A. has always bothered me a lot. It seems really off and sus. And Debra needs to stop explaining her reason for declining. Just, "No," or "No, I'm on a case," is enough. But also, yes, I always get an "ick" feeling about Quinn at the start of this season. The way he talks and schmoozes, the expensive watch...he does seem sus himself. Whatever happens or doesn't happen as the show goes on, I won't say a word, of course.

Ugh Deb is just horrible The new IA woman is infuriating And Rita... Dear lord Rita is awful. Miguel is a very interesting character at first. This season (for me) is the worst of the whole series. They do correct course... So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
