Btw the reason Gyutaro was being "mean" to Daki at the end was because he actually wanted her to have a better afterlife than him hence him saying his biggest regret was her: he understood that they way he raised her was wrong and knew deep down she would've been a better person than him had she been raised correctly so actually he thought HE was the curse not her :) Daki actually had the chance to go to heaven because technically she was close to death before turning into a demon and even then it wasn't her choice, Gyutaro made that decision for them. Can't wait to see your reactions to what you'll be learning next season!

2026-01-07 21:24:38 +0000 UTCfyi in case you don’t remember, upper 3 (akaza) who you saw at the end is the same demon that killed rengoku. also their numbers rank them by power, meaning that out of the 6 upper ranks, gyutaro and daki sit in the weakest position. hence why obanai iguro (the hashira at the end) was critical of tengen uzui’s decision to retire. the demon that turned daki and gyutaro was upper 6 at the time, but not by present day as the siblings took that spot, you’ll learn more about him in the next episode.
