It’s not good…trust me🫣

Chuck feels the need to drive Jimmy away and restrict him instead of actually investing in Jimmy after he truly demonstrated reform. Had Jimmy been taken under Chuck's wing, things could have been so different. But Chuck's ego is very similar to Walt's. The ego is a result of truly being an above average person, but that ego ends up feeding toxic behaviors.

You should show us your guitaring

I think Jimmy was on a path to becoming an upstanding lawyer - starting with elder law, then finding this massive case. Imagine what type of lawyer he would have been if Chuck had worked with him and let him join HHM. I think the path that lead him to Saul Goodman started here, with Chuck saying Jimmy wasn’t a real lawyer, or even when Chuck initially kept Hamelin from hiring him out of the mailroom.

You were finally right on with your prediction! You’re learning how these series turn, yay!!

MoniLove

The real asshole (and pardon my language) is CHUCK. Not Hamlin.

MagicSquirrel

I wonder about this…because what does he do all day every day when Jimmy isn’t there? He was barely getting out for 2 minutes so it seems like he stays stuck in that world no matter who is around him? Can’t wait to see if he can finally get better and keep progressing 🙏

Reaction Therapy

I totally agree with you on this Jess👍

Reaction Therapy

It’s such a well written show that it can make me sway from one side to the other. I totally agree that Jimmy goes out of his way to care for (and probably enable) chuck over all this time…and Jimmy also finds himself making impulse and often immature decisions when it comes to work…he just pushes the envelope too much BUT chuck on the other hand is so pretentious and high and mighty with his attitude that he thinks people (like Jimmy) are beneath him

Reaction Therapy

I don’t 🫣😂

I view Jimmy as an addict and, as they say, "An addict is always an addict." Some addicts succeed at staying on the straight and narrow path, others fail miserably. Not speaking to the rest of this series, but Chuck sure as hell left Jimmy with few reasons to pursue sobriety.

No way!!!???

there's always been some pity for Howard in my heart... his demeanor is that of an asshole but his words/actions are often kind.

I <3 hamlin

the crazy thing is... chuck's rant in this episode, if you consider everything that happened in Breaking Bad, chuck is right. But its just so tragic. his own brother is stabbing him in the back and its killing jimmy

Hyperion

Hey tom if you wanna know how to take down guys, you can take Jiu Jitsu street defense lessons. my soki is 75 years old and hes going strong. he could take down a bear solo

Hyperion

Chuck... I will never have unmixed feelings about him. He and Jimmy have some serious core issues in their relationship, one shown here is he can't take Jimmy seriously even as he's grown up.

jenna 🍒

Jimmys been careing for chucks lazy crazy ass and being a great brother while chucks resenting and plotting behind his back. If chuck just showed faith i feel like jimmy would be a better person. I hope you reconsider what you said about him when he was talking with chuck at the end

Also I think it really shows Chuck’s elitism. Jimmy is a lawyer. He passed the same bar exam Chuck did. But all Chuck can do is bash on the school jimmy went to for law. But guess what, he still passed the same bar. And I think that eats Chuck up inside and Chuck has more of an issue with how likable jimmy is

Jess

This episode actually makes me feel really bad for Howard. As you were doing, as everyone at HHM was probably doing, viewing Howard as a snake, as a terrible person with an ego etc. when all along Howard was playing the bad guy so chuck and jimmy can still have a brotherly relationship. So Howard can be the bad guy stopping him from working at HHM instead of Chuck

Jess

bob odenkirk is such a phenomenal actor. you really believe his pain

Avery

Chuck was just horrible in this ep, and it really makes you reconsider his actions in previous eps. Jimmy did pass the bar, its the same exam despite where you studied. He put in the work, did the time, worked in the mailroom. Honestly a lot of the stuff he did that was "unethical" probably wouldn't have taken place if chuck gave him a chance.

Scrumpo

What's always interesting to wonder is if the end result means Chuck was right that Jimmy Can't change, or if Jimmy had had more real support from his brother. Would he have been able to change?

Talon Karrde

Bob Odenkirk and Michael McKean, two traditionally comedic actors giving incredible dramatic performances. Pimento is easily in my top 5 episodes of BCS or BB.

Chris Scott

An important note about Chuck's condition is he only seems to get sensitivity when there's something stressing him out, when there's something on his mind (usually Jimmy's antics). When Chuck is distracted by something else like work, he doesn't seem to have any sensitivity to electromagnetism. Which just goes to show that his condition is purely a psychological issue. Like at 16:00. Only after Jimmy said he would need an office did Chuck get stressed and feel sensitivity. At the end of the last episode when he was distracted by work, he didn't notice any discomfort. It's only when something is bothering him does he feel this sensitivity.

Ryan

Fun fact. Chuck's house is in the same neighborhood as Jesse's house.
