Discord poll result! - New Snapper concept reveal!

Hello again!

Before the reveal, let's briefly talk enemies!

Remember this guy? Yeah... He's a snapper! Those who played the current demo build, will recognise Snappers! They use their strong jaws to bite and when they drop below half health they enrage, growing in size, gaining extra speed, damage and health!

But... yeah... These Snappers just placeholders!

You might not be aware of this because current enemies in Glyde are pretty cool and they fit pretty well! But all of the current enemy models, are placeholders in the demo!

So what this means, is that the way the enemies behave is unique and programmed by us, however the models and the looks of the enemies are pre-existing assets that can be purchased on Unreal Marketplace. The purpose of Unreal Marketplace assets is to give developers a good starting point without spending a ton of money on unique and original assets, models like this often come with animations and while they are amazing. They are premade, available publicly for everyone and not original.  

These models and animations have allowed us to create what we have so far and they served well for the demo purposes. However,  for the full game we want all of the models to be original and unique to Glyde.  

Now here is the cool part!

Thanks to your amazing and long lasting support, for which I will be forever grateful!  We are finally in a position where I could afford to commission multiple freelance artists on regular basis to help us bring the world of Glyde to life and create our own monsters/creatures/animals and more.

With every donation we are getting closer and closer to high quality world that we are trying to create and while we have lost some patrons recently, we are still in a decent spot to keep working with those artists.

I'm writing this to emphasise that without your support this wouldn't be possible! All the funds raised here on Patreon go to the development of the game and we are finally ready to start revealing more concepts regularly as well. Obviously we don't want to flood you with spoilers but you deserve to know what the money goes towards and what cool things are possible to thanks to you!

This might be one of questions you will have after seeing this concept. And yeah, they are still zombies just not the human like zombies you might be used too ;)
