The trash gremlin seems to be looking for trouble. A quick look tells you she is small, but likely very fast and confident.

So uhhh god where do I even begin... A while ago I got a vision for an image stylized exactly like this - just two colors, incredibly inky, only light and shadow; it was a different pose and composition, but I couldn't figure out exactly what was going on - I only had a very clear view of the style, and that there was trash dog being trash dog. So I improvised on that part, and the vibe is very much there. As for the style, I jumped into it having no idea how to do it, but I knew it would have to be something composited entirely in postwork, as opposed to the usual raw render being enhanced. While I did set it up to render a preview that looked more or less like the final piece, the final render itself is just a bunch of masks without a presentable output.
Very unusual stuff, and I felt very lost and confused for a while! That's how you know it's a good art experience. :) Would like to make more like this because it was great fun, but at the same time I like having this gigantic unicorn in my gallery. Perhaps inspiration strikes again, perhaps I can build upon this technique some more; we'll see! :D
You might think "wow tchai this was the perfect piece to use your painting technique on! why didn't you think of that???" - well, I'll have you know that I DID!!! And didn't like it at all. <3
There are a few versions of this, and here are some more words about them (sorry):
[director's cut]: the main version, most resembling my vision
[hollywood]: the version your producer says you have to make because your vision won't sell at all, my god, what were you thinking
[comic original]: the comic your movie is based on (but actually just the modification I used for the next one which looked good enough to include on its own)
[comic stereo]: self-explanatory - and works surprisingly well!
Posting this in full size for everyone!
Enjoy. :)
