Update time!

Heya peeps! Sorry for the silence for a little bit. I didn't get caught up in anything, things are going alright. But I'm about to enter a very busy period for me (cough silksong cough) followed by starting work again, so I figured now was a good time to let y'all know why a coupla things are going so slow. Notably, the, uh... character fics... yeeeaaaahhhh...

(Also, this is gonna be a bit rambley, so if you don't wanna read, I don't blame you- there's a tl;dr at the end)

Ok, so, Y'all have probably already noticed that there was no poll last month, and that's because I didn't feel right starting another poll when Is till owed two fics. I made a bit of an oopsie bringing those back, tbh. I knew why I stopped doing them in the first place, but still decided to try again. Wouldn't you know it, I still have the same problem with character fics now as I did in the past. Some characters get suggested and I just have no freaking idea what I want to do with them. Then they win and I'm just like... whyyyyyyy...

That's basically what's happened here with the Momo fic. I've been waffling and delaying the fic 'cause I have no idea at all what I wanna do with her (besides aging her up first and foremost, obvs). It got delayed at first because of my Immediate Financial Crisis (tm), but then once it was time to start on her fic, it's just been... eeeeeeeeehhh...

It's gotten to the point that I can't justify trying it anymore. I'm benching the Momo fic for the moment. I'll mull it over and come back to it later- promise. I'll still do the Oguri Cap fic, because... well, c'mon. What else are you gonna do with Oguri Cap? But after that, I'm gonna re-shelve character polls for the time being. I need to rework them or something so that this kind of scenario doesn't happen again.

I don't want to push off writing other fics just cause there's one in particular that I just... can't with. Once I figure out how to avoid that without just saying, like, "I don't wanna do that character- pick again" (which is lame), then I'll bring them back again. It's just not fair to you guys or myself to leave so much in limbo.

Aaaaaaaanyways... uh... soooo... yeeeaaaaah...

So! Going forward: I have a comm to edit and post, then the Oguri fic, a few more comms, and then we'll go from there! Honestly, I've been itching to get back to some self-serving writing- I've had a few ideas cooking that I've been itching to get to, but really couldn't justify working on yet... Though we'll see when I do get to them. I'm gonna be out of the house 10+ hours 5-6 days a week for the foreseeable future, so... yeah! We'll see!

tl;dr - No Momo fic anytime soon, Oguri fic still coming, character polls are on hold pending a rework, silksong is gonna devour my life, then my new job is gonna devour my life, and I'm gonna write a non-human character swallowing a lot of fish whole at some point to spite some guy I know. ttyl, baaaaaaiiiii~
