Fungal Sanctuary: A Phased Battlemap (23x16)

The map has a total of 5 phases and with each there is less and less ground without the fungal infestation. Maybe it's the mushroom people, maybe a bloater and some clickers are lurking in a cave, or a druid has been messing around with cordyceps mutations?
If you are playing DnD 5e, consider the following:
make the fungi difficult terrain,
require a saving throw from creatures that enter the area or end their turn there against being restrained or perhaps having their action influenced by the fungal network
deal damage to creatures in the area - necrotic, poison or psychic
have the spores reach the surface and start a full-on outbreak should the party not stop whatever caused the spread
