New patreon for wago.io

I wanted to let you know that we have a new official patreon for wago.io now that includes some additional coverage for the wago addons part of the site. If you want to support wago and are already doing so via this patreon then there is no need to change to the new one, all the current perks will continue to be honoured for existing patreons. However, when it comes to future supporters and advertising the wago patreon in anyway the new one will be used, the new patreon link to it can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/wagoio

2024-08-27 15:14:30 +0000 UTCWith the latest Wago App update Ads are correctly turning off. There is a new option to link you Wago account and that fixed the issue no need to the API key. Thank you for the fix!

2024-08-26 16:23:33 +0000 UTCAds are removed form the website but still seeing them in the wagio app. I generated an API key on the web site and added it to the app but all it did was remove the prompt "Disable Ads?" that linked to Patreon the ads remain on the app.

Your cookies are set to expire after only one week, that's why people are getting logged out so quickly. This is not a setting on our browsers, it's a setting somewhere in the software on your server.

2023-04-10 16:22:13 +0000 UTCHi Chris, Wago user sessions should be lasting between browser sessions, I would guess that perhaps your cookies aren't being saved. Maybe you have some browser extension preventing them from saving? As for Patreon requiring a new grant each time, that's just how Patreon works, we can't modify that. Thanks.

2023-04-10 14:41:44 +0000 UTCHave been playing around with this for a few months. I have got it to work and see the site ad-free. It isn't a super smooth experience though. The site never remembers your login, forcing you to log in on each visit. You also need to grant permissions on Patreon each time you visit the site, rather than just once when you first set it up. Logging in is sometimes reasonably fast but is often quite slow, and of course you see adverts and trackers throughout the process until you're actually logged in.
