And so many of the story correlate to things I my own life. It was the first time watching the streamer awards and I was so happy seeing you guys in such great outfits. Also please keep going and ignore the issues people have I believe most people like it. And also we just need to be kind to each other it would make everything easy.

If someone stood in front of your peers with a microphone and called you a ra**ist - you wouldn't be like "don't worry she doesn't have logs yall" you would be mortified. ESPECIALLY when your whole life is clips of you around the internet. Then add on top of that you're a young, successful black man in America - so suddenly he's diddy...? Like it wasn't even low hanging fruit for a roast, it was braindead. Old twitch is dead. Soda and his maid outfit are not going to ever bring back a lack of moderated internet. That is dead and it should be.

The other years there was always issues with musical guests(rip Ari) and issues with audio and playing video

Celebrities get called out for their ties to Epstein and how they defended Polanski and they sit there and laugh it off. While the tamest roasts are apparently too far for streamers. It's not like people brought up the logs of kai protecting an accused rapists or how there are multiple Sexual assault allegations against his crew. Old twitch is truly on its last legs. Moon soda and NL better never retire.

2025-12-11 06:34:15 +0000 UTCi was on a 7 hour road trip when streamer awards happened so i didn't get to watch, but i was really bummed to see all the drama and controversy that came from it online after. parasocially i know that qt's had a rough year and i was really hoping this would be a win for her bc she clearly works so hard on it. so it is genuinely really cool to see her on her stream and on wine about it have such renewed passion and energy for the show and maintaining so much optimism wrt the project. i would love if the broadcast could have a fundraising element to it that encourages streamers and their fans to donate for a good cause throughout, especially with the timing right before the holidays. i also feel like it would be a nice way to encourage more positivity on the night without forcing it. that said i have no idea if it's logistically possible and i know it's not what a traditional awards show is about, but if anyone were to pull it off, qt's done so many great charity streams before! on a completely separate note i really enjoyed hearing about rae's hometown trip this episode even if it's fully insane that her sister is having TWO baby showers lol

2025-12-11 00:51:15 +0000 UTCi’m leaving streamer awards season incredibly conflicted. i believe qt when she says she’s working on making the show better for the future and treating it with the seriousness it requires due to the explosive increase in scope and reach in its lifetime (and over the past two years in particular). with that being said, i really dislike that you’re choosing to not calling bad actors out for what they are nor are you trying to distance ourselves from them, especially when one of them was a host of the show (fanfan). there was a very brief mention of it on fear&, but it felt so dismissive of the actual issues people had. i understand there are offline conversations being had, but she was egregiously disrespectful to people who, frankly, have worked much harder than her all year. i know qt is all about being cordial and i can empathize with not wanting to get clipped, but it’s frustrating to see her behavior go unaddressed. before the show, i cancelled my sub over her inclusion in the production. i don’t wanna sound smarmy but i saw this coming a mile away. as it turns out, i must have upgraded my sub to yearly tier 3 in some december past bc i’m sitting here with my sub set to expire in just over a week, debating if i want to reactivate. i think highly of both of you and this podcast has gotten me through a lot of really dark shit, qt’s perspective on mental health in particular, so this just feels weird. i don’t even know if anyone but skootish and the other patrons read these comments so i might just be shouting into the void. this probably should’ve been a private journal but i wanted to say my piece since this podcast has been a part of my life for a very significant portion of it now. sorry for the novel.
