2020-09-13 18:35:08 +0000 UTCDamn! Once again you're hitting on something that I really want to see in the sequel (which at this point are so many things that they better make it a trilogy, haha). Precisely as you're depicting, I like to think that Nick in the past would occasionally have spent some time alone in silence, observing the city while getting a sense of the atmosphere. But every time, it's the same thing he sees and feels, just this foreign dull colorless concrete jungle (EXACTLY as you're depicting) that holds no future for him. But fast forward to present day, and in some way or other, he finds himself looking at the city again, but this time he is completely stunned when he realizes how different the city looks. Vivid colors, gone is the oppressive atmosphere, the city feels welcoming and like a happy place to be and for the first time ever he can see his future there. I really think it's a perfect way of showing how much Nick has changed for the better. Great artwork, Lax. I hope you're doing well and please take care.
