Finally back!

hey everyone.

After the news of one year ago when I had to put BMO TV on hold because my "irl" game project had been funded, that project is now going to be finished soon. (it was only a prototype funding to find publishers with afterwards.) now, i'm sad that that project is going to be on hold for a while, but that also means i'll finally have time to come back to the tfgames community. i'm really thankful for everybody who still stayed on the discord server or who subbed to this patreon for some time.

after all this time and I promise to come back strong. I have been struggling with depression for a while though so my work ethic has been affected by that a bit, but the fact that I'm ok with telling you that is already a huge improvement on my part.

Since the main feedback for bmo tv that i got has been "art sucks" I've found an amazing artist to replace all character graphics, but that will take a while and will need a bit of funding. So for the next iteration I'm thinking of

a) finally making the latest version of the game free for all (I just forgot to do this when i left)

b) fixing the bugs that everyone found while I was gone and

c) replace the random encounters system with something different that is easier to balance. I'm still in the concept phase for that and am eager to hear your feedback, but a lot of feedback always was that the game is not balanced and I've never been a fan of pure randomness, also in the games that inspired me. So maybe this can be a way to reinvent the genre. 

Since I feel like bmo tv is held back most by its graphics though, I'm also thinking of making some smaller games as side projects to help fund the artist. I also feel very vulnerable to put out new content for bmo tv when I already know that people are just going to hate on it for its graphics style, but I'll definitely do some quality of life upgrades before we get the artist on board.
