Hey everyone,
It's time for the progress report of V0.7.2, which unfortunately was a little bit delayed. I have a good reason, though. I had to do my taxes. I have procrastinated on them for so long that they are vastly overdue. So yeah... I did them, and that took me a good two full weeks to get through everything. I did two years at a time, and now they are gone from my mind. Well... almost. Anyways, this was necessary and it set the patch back time-wise, but there's nothing we can do about... well... taxes.
But I finally got back to working on BMO TV this week, and I have a lot of stuff to talk about for the next patch. If you've looked at the roadmap in the game's main menu, you know that the biggest goals for the v0.7.x patch cycle are the Ally dates, finishing the final bit of Doomsday content, finishing Damaris' content, and introducing the Trans game start. This next patch will move us forward on all of these fronts.
Here's the list of planned features for V0.7.2:

Last time, I talked to you about not being happy with the Cisgender Woman gameplay, and that I want to discourage using it. However, that was just in preparation for the main change coming in this patch. There is now another recommended start for a female character, just a transfeminine one. This will be a combination of the classic amab and afab starts. You can customize your character's medical history in a way that allows for all kinds of bodies.
In addition, since the game is mainly designed for the feminization audience, this is a logical next step. If you decide that this is not just a kink (which is likely), you can now continue playing.
This new mode will include tons of new dialogs, changes to the mood system, and new outfit options. It may take a few patches to feel complete, but we need to start somewhere. Also note the new sexual orientation choice. Overall, the character creation UI has been vastly improved.
So far, the final bad ending in the True Ending has been just a placeholder that leads to the succubus ending from before. That one will be changed to the final missing transformation. I don't want to spoil too much but it has something to do with something else that is currently already crawling through the house.
The Himari Dates have been a part of the game for a long while, and I just hadn't found the time to get to Abigail and Katelyn yet. In this patch, we're starting with Abigail. In comparison to Himari, she is bisexual, so there will be opportunities for all characters to get closer to her. This patch will not conclude all of her Date content, but that's mainly because I'm planning to get some extra graphics done for the final event. Prepare to learn some fascinating things about our scientist's backstory.
I'm also planning another Abigail scene that I've wanted to write in a while but this patch has a lot of content already and it depends on whether or not I find the time.
Damaris has a system in place to allow for multiple scenes that use a player preference system. In order for this system to work well, we need a lot more scenes. However, since the nature of her scenes is very important to get right, it takes a while to write them. I have conceptualized a new one that I wanted to do for a while, but that I feel is very risky. I hope that finishing it will help me understand how to write the others in the pipeline with less difficulty.
With the introduction of Damien to the house, I also introduced the ability to use the Expressive Character Designs in NPC sex scenes. This patch I want to implement this for all the other characters. I'm still unsure whether to change how these expressions will be triggered in the game, but making sure that all of them are used in the first place is going to be part of this patch.

The legacy system needs more ways to spend Memory Fragments, so with the addition of the Trans character start, I'm going to add new options that go along with it. The idea of Memory Fragments has always been to make your starting characters more and more aligned with your femininity, so adding gender transition to this list just makes sense in my mind. You're not forced to choose this option, but I feel like it's a natural expansion of the system.
Also, I have concluded that the word "Legacy" is just... bad. I'm thinking about renaming the whole system to "Lifepath" instead. Inside the story, that's basically what it is. The idea is that when choosing a parallel universe to play your "Lifepath" choices will fix what your character lived as before you start the game. So I think the rebranding is a good idea, but I'm putting it up for vote.
And that's it for this patch. Once again, I hope you can see that it contains a lot of work and will move the game forward tremendously. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.
Best,
Kim
