
Hey everyone,
It's finally time for another new major patch cycle to start and for the end of the story of the past one.
I had originally planned to call this patch "Final Transformation", a marvelous pun on "Final Destination", but I realized last minute that it could be misleading and imply that the game will no longer get new transformations. No, that's not it. But this patch marks a huge milestone as it'll finally end the Doomsday storyline and, with it, bring the true end to the game. So, the title "Doomsday" worked because it has the final Doomsday event, and I really thought it looked exciting as well. I know it's not a pun, but I assume it could even be a good idea to break the tradition a little bit to emphasize that this is a special patch.
Also, remember that in the last patch release, I told you that there was a ton of artwork in the pipeline during my surgery recovery period that didn't get finished? Well, now that I'm back, they have all appeared pretty quickly, so I'm trying to play catch-up here.
Anyways, here are the planned features.

This may just be one small paragraph in this list, but honestly, it's a huge amount of content. The puzzles in Doomsday have been completed with the opening of the lab, and we'll continue our story there. I don't want to spoil too much, but the finale will contain several dialogues, twists, new endings, and an epic boss battle. I'm still in the middle of implementation, and I hope that I can deliver a legendary finale. But obviously I won't be able to fit all the polishing into this patch.
This was supposed to be the main theme of the previous patch, but unfortunately, the art took a while to deliver. As you know, in the doomsday finale, the house is filled with a ton of gooey tentacle mass, but we don't really get to interact with it other than when we have to open a door that is stuck tightly. In the new patch, we can finally play with it in a very fun way. And yes, the characters have to give consent first.

As with every one of the last patches, we have a new character art to replace the new expressive ones. This time, it is AI:Ison. If you play through the patch, you'll know why. Anyways, this is still my least favorite kind of work, but it is what it is. Rewriting all dialogue to trigger fitting expressions and arm poses is exhausting. I'm happy that this part of the patch is already fully completed right now.

As for additions to the main gameplay loop, we have new NPC sex scenes. At least one of these was supposed to be added in the last patch. It's not super difficult, but it does take a while to animate and implement everything regarding the different transformation states. I'm sure I can get these done, though.
The second main gameplay loop change is a new hint system inside the memory crystal. It will be used to guide players through the main problem of finding branches right now - the legacy system. So whenever you need to do something in another run in a specific branch, the memory crystal can give you a little hint on that. I think it's important for this system to be optional, but the complaints about multi-timeline puzzles have increased over the last few months, so I'm going to try to solve it with this.
And finally, this patch will be released before December, so it needs to include all the things that the Christmas Calendar will include. Last year's calendar was supposed to be the final iteration where it was supposed to just stay like this forever and just have the same contents every year. But when it was done, I wasn't super happy. So, I commissioned the artist to make some new winter attire to include. It's been a while since we had new clothes, so I'm excited to add some new ones finally.
And that's the end of the list. I hope you can see that this is a pretty big patch and that it'll be a bigger workload. But I'm halfway there, and I'll try my best to get this to you as soon as possible. I'm especially excited to finally make the game's true ending.
