I think what Regina did was use a symbol from the bar to “jog” Belle’s memories. Belle was a victim of the curse like most people so she has a “cursed” persona. We never really saw Belle’s “cursed” persona bc she was locked in the psych ward for the entirety of the 28 years that Storybrooke was cursed. Since Regina was the one who cast the curse, I’m sure she knew a bit about Belle’s cursed memories and used a token to get her to remember her cursed self. So, yes, she helped Belle “remember” who she is. The reveal of Hook being “the package” at the end was kinda hilarious bc how did they manage to kidnap and tie him up?? I almost forgot about Hook since it’s been so long since his last appearance 😭 3 more episodes of the season! I can’t wait to see how this season ends.
