- it's truly a slippery slope with the Gallaghers but you really do grow to love them, Frank & Monica really put them through it. - they know frank is terrible but just like you said that is their dad so they all still care to some capacity. and the whole thing with the foster care system & frank is also important as well. - Fiona is 21 in this first season but she's been dealing with this from her parents since she was 9, I don't like her given how she self sabotages with most things that can benefit herself but I do respect her though

2025-09-01 08:14:23 +0000 UTCok so ur criticism for lip and fiona still caring about their dad is valid and u will get more resolution on the aspect but i will say yk at the end of the day, coming from somebody who has a very similar family dynamic, ur always going to care about them even if they were shitty parents. Were their kids sometimes we just can’t help it. With this show yes they are a dysfunctional family who get up to some crazy shit and that’s a huge part of every episode however i think as the show goes on especially around season 3 and on (it does start this season tho) we really get more emotional depth to these characters and their relationship as a family and really dive into their individual stories and i think it’s a good mix. we all don’t love this show bc it’s funny and bc it’s crazy we really fell in love with the emotional impact it left on us. So much of it hit so close to home with me. the shows not to serious but also they’re spectacular at the sad stuff. Frank as a character is just frank. By the end you’ll really not know how u feel about him. you’re going to hate him which we all do but he’s a good form of entertainment and very complex. steve… oh steve. i have so much and so little to say about him😭 also don’t worry i think you will like characters and find yourself rooting for them while also probably getting pissed off sometimes but yk it’s real. the shows super realistic and it’s just how humans are idk
