For the record, the appropriate thing to do when dealing with the police is shut the f up. Even when you’re innocent. Depending on the crime, even when you’re just a witness. Don’t ask your kids anything IN the police station. It doesn’t matter if it makes you look guilty. Shut the f up. I encourage people to watch the Confession Tapes docs. When dealing with police there’s no such thing as being helpful. Just be quiet.
