How many people do you know who studied something they were passionate about, yet ended up working in a job that only vaguely resembles what they dreamed of doing? Especially in creative industries. You say "it doesn't fit Raven", but I believe that's the point. It's season 1 of 6; the kids will age and plots will adjust accordingly, but the adult characters need room to grow too.
