2025-04-25 17:03:18 +0000 UTCi don't talk through scenes and i pay close attention to every episode, and yet i don't particularly like or care about hope or landon either. i think the showrunners rely on a lot of cliches when writing these characters, in a way that's kind of cheesy. they're not well written or developed. the show isn't portraying them in a creative or interesting way imo. i don't think his lack of interest is because he "talks" during the show. i just don't think the writers have done a good job of developing these two characters together, or individually. and it's okay for viewers to feel that way. everyone is entitled to their opinion and not everyone has to like the show or the characters. the fact that he's still watching this lackluster show is him "giving it a chance" tbh lol. i wanted to quit watching at least 5 times by this point.
