we already did set up that freddie would no longer be conflicted about carly though. they dated for a short while after he saved her and he came to the conclusion that he didnt want to be with someone who didnt truly like him besides what he'd done for her. they'd already set up at the end of that episode that unless her feelings changed one day, he'd be moving on from her. he also hasnt talked about or hinted any remaining crush on carly since that story arc ended

2025-04-23 02:43:52 +0000 UTCa lot of fans interpret freddie's feelings for carly as superficial and based in fantasy but im really neutral on the whole thing. i have never shipped them and i personally don't think they have chemistry. sam and freddie however i believe have a really good set up here, it's the perfect opportunity for character growth especially for sam. but i agree that the writers could've excecuted it better. I would have loved to hear about freddie's feelings more before he kisses sam, or to have them communicate properly about it lol

Though, yes, him getting with Sam without questioning it too much may seem rush, I lowkey think deep down he really liked Sam since they shared that first kiss, it is just that he never wanted to admit it 😂 (or at least that is my Seddie mind talking)
