Ghost Whisperer "Pater Familias " 3x18 Reaction (Brian)

Comments

Melinda's mom used to be such a confusing character to me, when I first watched this show and it was always because of this storyline. Her never telling the truth or only half of the truth when it was obvious she was hiding something used to make me so mad, but after this episode I finally understood after what she told Melinda. Melinda was too young to understand when she was a kid why her dad vanished and it's best not to tell kids that kind of stuff until they reach a certain age. She grew up still attached to Tom and loving him even though he left, so if her mom (who she never got along with) would have told her the truth about him, Melinda would have hated her. Like Paul Eastman said, Melinda always saw her mom as the shadow of Tom even though he was never around so it made sense that Paul made her take that journey herself.

I feel like ghosts do the whole cryptic thing just to draw out the story. I did agree with Paul Eastman, that he had to let her find out for herself because she definitely would not have believed that he was her dad. I do also agree with you as well, it's annoying when they draw out the story. I would've gave up at times too, depending on what their story is though. "Ohhh, I can't believe I'm hearing Jim talk this way! 😳" Lmfao, I had that same reaction too. It's because we've never heard him talk like that until this episode I believe. He's always been so chill and patient. You can tell how much he hated Tom for what he did to Melinda for so many years. I loved that scene though, Jim does not play about Melinda 😂
