2025-03-20 04:44:10 +0000 UTCtbh even though the show starts getting 40 ep seasons it’ll honestly go by quick bc most of them will just be 2 parters. so tbh it’s like 40 something minute episodes. like s10 has 44 episodes but they’re all 2 parter continuations of whatever part 1 was about so it’s actually a 22 episode season

2025-03-20 03:23:51 +0000 UTCi do love these newer seasons and the new characters. degrassi did start to just get kind of bland the past few seasons with only some storylines being good and the rest just kind of eh. claire and her development i love and i mean ppl have complicated feelings about claire but i do think she is one of the most important characters for this show and in all her good and bad she never fails to be entertaining. i love riley’s storyline and this is surely not the end of the gay storylines and none of them feel like each other which is great and i don’t feel like any of this is a spoiler. we know degrassi characters have so many flaws to all of them. there’s a character coming in season 10 who in a way is similar to another character but is definitely not a repeat. they are one of the best actors this series had probably top 2 and honestly even tho it’s so similar to another it did feel new. as somebody said the promo for the later seasons was amazing. shark in the water is absolutely iconic and led up to one of the best seasons of this show and i really don’t think your going to get too bored of this show. the seasons start to be 40 episodes long but honestly they managed it really well and it gave the characters more time to have properly developed story’s. anyways like u said none of it feels repeated and i do love it. i think they did need to get rid of old characters and while we know they’re not completely gone it’s good to have this many new ppl and new personalities and the new generation. seasons 5-7 did start to get a bit rough there for me.

Or at least something akin to Paige’s storyline with Alex?

2025-03-16 17:24:52 +0000 UTCi forgot riley’s gay storyline starts this early into his introduction. fun fact they were going to make peter be bi and reciprocate it but ended up not going with that storyline. i feel like that would have been an interesting storyline to see but i still like the character growth supporting in silence and not outing him (besides to mia but that’s different in a way) route they went with too. also, i totally agree with you. i feel like one thing degrassi has always done well is even though there might be characters and relationships that have similar storylines to past seasons the take on it is always fresh and different.
