Paul is a such good actor. I liked what they did with this and bringing Keith back. I agree I wasn't sad except for Jamie and I don't think he was redeemed to me. I don't agree with "Keith" that since his murder Dan's tried to be better. He was literally seeing Keith's ghost and threatened to kill his unborn child or other people he loved cuz he felt guilt for his own actions. Lucas was dealing with the loss alone cuz Karen thought Keith died going into the school after him. Jimmy's mom buried her kid alone basically and Dan was threatening whoever was stalking him and saying they knew the truth. I'm glad Lucas and Karen didn't come back. But this was a good episode for Nate and his confusing feelings for his father and it was good he got some closure. The plus one line was cute. I do assume the conversation and the game we saw Dan and Nathan play was in his head since it didn't seem like he could leave the hospital. It could have been in Nathan's head too, but I wish he had actually said those things and explained his actions. Nathan or Haley could have talked to Lucas and given him some understanding and closure. Even Lily when she grows up shouldn't have to wonder. But it was a good episode and they were able to let Paul shine one last time. I get that he technically loved Nathan but if it's conditional and you love your kid as long as they're what you want or have a certain career etc then idk if you do love them. Not for who they choose to be. In that case you just the image of your child you had in mind. I don't know that I'd tell my kid that was love in their situation. I wouldn't want them to conceptualize it as conditional. I do wish we'd gotten a last Whitey and Dan scene cuz they were always great foils and Whitey was the one who said maybe he was still there for redemption.
