In Gina’s defense. Yes EJ did just get the letter, but why did he tell Val first and not Gina? This is a very big issue that could threaten their relationship. Personally I wouldn’t pursue a guy as my first boyfriend if he’s going to be living out of state for college while I’m still in HS. It’s not fair to him/me but if he was going to tell anyone he should have told Gina first.

2024-12-02 00:30:08 +0000 UTCI think what Gina is feeling is (as EJ’s girlfriend) that EJ isn’t going to her about his problem and instead goes to Val for support. Even Val agrees and says that EJ should tell her since he was able to Val about it. Its fine for EJ to deal with this how he wants to, but Gina is starting to feel left out :/

Like it's fine that he wanted to take a moment to process but to play devil's advocate, I don't think Gina is completely in the wrong for feeling left out or lied to. EJ had time to tell Val cause he went to her for emotional support. Why didn't he feel comfortable doing that with Gina? That's what's upsetting Gina, that he feels like he has to hide things from her until the "right" time. She has a very closed off family so it makes sense that she doesn't like that.
