I loved that they didn't make Hayden's character a mean girl! That was always such a surprise to me because I expected it when I first watched this. This movie was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up.

Going against that plan for something you actually love is a metaphorical slap in the face and a guilt trip waiting to happen every time.
