Still a fun episode for me (the possibilities of being locked inside a Kmart!) and I like the different style where they focused on just the two of them for the whole episode.

2024-11-21 05:20:02 +0000 UTCPacey and Joey got together end of season 3. And we’re together all of season 4. So this happening in season 6 wasn’t that far off from when they’d split. I have to disagree with you though, cause they loved eachother deeply in s3/4. There’s always gonna be something there. So it’s not like there has to be a big buildup a 2nd time if they were so into eachother the first time. It was like a 10-12 month or so relationship. They were the longest couple on the whole show. Pacey realized his feelings at the spin the bottle part. That they were still there. And who knows how much time since that and the party he invited Joey to this episode. It’s been on his mind since then. Maybe even as early as Audrey saying at Dawson’s dinner Pacey and Joey weren’t over eachother. Neither needs much buildup as they had a meaningful relationship in past so feelings will always be there.
