This episode always gave me the creeps. I did the bloody Mary challenge when I was younger with some friends and someone had scared me too, but obviously never that badly. Ever since then the topic and scary myths in general always make me feel jumpy. I always felt like Rick was deeply in love with Melinda (even before last episode where it shows him talking to himself trying to tell her how he feels), but she only sees him as a friend. No more than that. They do have really good chemistry in this show though.

And the way Rick is with Mel AND Jim, he considers both his friends too though obviously he's closer to Melinda. I don't get the vibes that he's gonna try anything. And Mel and Jim have that very gentle loving supportive relationship that's not portrayed in shows that include cheating storylines so I'm not worried about that. I think people do like Rick because he's funny and he helps Melinda a lot, but I think they love Melinda/Jim way too much to be happy about a cheating storyline.

I was OBSESSED when I first watched this episode. And yeah, I kinda agree that it was Rachel's own fault. I don't wanna victim blame but like...she knew her own limitations due to her heart condition, which none of the other girls did, and Sloane didn't single her out to bully her. She was gonna scare whoever it was who agreed to do it. It's very sad and very tragic and I even understand why Rachel volunteered but I can't blame Sloane, either.
