I agree with the frustration with absentee parents just show up and we're supposed to like/trust them. But Victoria did the same thing and I don't give her any credit for going to jail for the fraudulent choices she made with Brooke's company. She basically disowned Brooke from jail for trying to fix the financial problems Victoria's choices gave her investors and employees.
