She did not goto Mona to change her style. She went there to change herself. Mona was looking through a window from the outside, seeing her change herself. And I’d guess it was Alison coming up behind and seeing Hanna change also. Mona had no say or was involved. Hanna is doing this on her own. Her appearance will give her inside, a different confidence of herself

The advice I give anyone before they start binging is real world thoughts throw them away, if you nitpick almost every single thing about this show you won’t enjoy it. Just try to enjoy the ride of the show. To me I see you abandoning your reactions to this show soon.

2024-10-07 06:11:46 +0000 UTCSo about the Hannah and Mona thing.. basically, since that person at the funeral home compared/mistook Hannah with Allison, she started becoming self-aware about her looks. As you know, Hannah was a bit chubby before which is why Allison gave her the nickname of Hefty Hannah and a lot of people knew her as that. The flashbacks were a reminder for us and a realization for Hannah that Mona was slowly making her into Allison, the losing weight, super blonde hair, the stylish clothes, she made her popular very much like Allison. But Hannah knows Allison wasn't a great person and would never like to become her completely, plus we know Hannah in general is awesome and she is her own person. But she is just starting to doubt herself and her insecurities are just getting the best of her (even her conversation with Emily gave us the hint that Hannah hasn't figured out who she really is, which is okay, she is still a teen). BTW she didn't go back to Mona for makeover in present time, she actually decided that on herself and went to a salon to change her hair. Yes, the change of hair won't change who she is BUT it is giving her something to separate herself from Allison and so that people don't make the mistake as the funeral home guy. This thing with Hannah & Allison continues to get explored throughout the season so you'll probably understand a bit more of where Hannah is coming from with her behaviors.
